The Life Coaching Process

If making changes was easy, people wouldn't need a coach. Coaching with Freemind is about you and me forming a relationship with a specific purpose of allowing you to develop in some way. My aim is to create a supportive alliance with you which allows you to increase awareness, identify alternatives and initiate action.
  1. Get to know one another
    • Firstly we will spend some time getting to know each other. We will need to establish what you want to gain from coaching, and discuss the particular issues on which you want to work

  2. Understand your behaviour
    • We will review your current situation, describing your current circumstances, how you got there and how you would like things to be in the future.
    • We can apply appropriate strategies and techniques so that you can gain awareness and understanding, to enable you to acknowledge any trends or patterns of behaviour.

  3. Devise a programme
    • We can clarify what is important to you and identify your goals for the future. We can explore the various options and choices that are available to you. We can consider the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative, so you can make an informed choice.
    • I will share ideas, skills, knowledge and techniques with you to help you develop a realistic yet stretching programme. As you begin to work towards your goals we will monitor your progress and celebrate your successes.

  4. If the going gets tough..I'll be there
    • However, at times it will not be easy - there will be times when you may want to give up, where you think you can't do it. Times when you think you can't change. I will listen to your concerns and frustrations. I will encourage, challenge and support you to move forward. We will focus on the benefits of your choices and work together to remove any obstacles that stand in your way.
